Nothing stops the madness // Judas and Jinx
Jinx let the knife be pulled from his shaking hands and nodded mutely as the leader motioned to the shower. Like he wasn’t in complete control of his body, Jinx moved into the bathroom and undressed quickly; stepping into the shower. He turned on the water and let the droplets beat down on his face - relaxing his tense muscles and washing the blood and dirt from his body. Grabbing a bar of soap, Jinx scrubbed away at the parts of his body previously covered in crusted blood. Even after the red substance was gone, he continued scrubbing until the skin turned almost raw. He dropped the bar of soap and switched off the tap, the silence ringing in his ears. ”Okay, I’m done.” he called out to Judas. Without the soothing beat of the water to calm him, panic started to boil in his gut again. Clamping his teeth on his bottom lip, Jinx dug his teeth into the soft skin to drive his attention away from unnamed terrors that threatened to show themselves through the thin veil of his consciousness.
Sometime in the middle of the shower, Judas had laid some clothes inside the door for Jinx after going to his room and getting some fresh ones as well as a towel. When the teen emerged from the bathroom Judas was sitting at his desk with his eyes closed, trying to figure all of this out. He opened his eyes and sighed, seeing Jinx panicking all over again. He couldn’t have that. It wasn’t healthy and he also wouldn’t get anything true or stable from Jinx if he was having a panic attack while he explained all of whatever it was they were in the middle of at that moment. He shook his head slightly as he opened his desk, digging around in the mess that was in his drawer before pulling out a bottle of pills quietly and taking one, handing it out to him.
“Here…take that and then try to explain this whole nightmare thing to me,” he said quietly, patiently. He had to be patient. He needed to figure out what was the matter with Jinx. It obviously wasn’t just a few nightmares. People didn’t end up covered in blood with a used weapon. No…that didn’t come from bad dreams. He just needed to find out if Jinx remembered anything. He had to figured out just who was hurt. Hopefully it wasn’t another Soldier, but he doubted that. There were so many here who didn’t sleep, some one would have noticed something…so why hadn’t they? This was all too confusing and he had to figure it all out. If not just for the safety of the boy who was in front of him, but for the safety of his whole gang as well.
